songs about self loathing
songs about self loving
songs about old friends, new friends
old love/new love/forever love
frustration, sadness, and that feeling
that everything is beautiful
and everything is okay.
misery radio is a collection of some of my demos. Made over the last 3 years, they were all recorded through the internal mic of my laptop on garageband, in my bedroom, on my own, and were mainly recorded immediately after being written, with layer after layer added as I went along. These songs are a collage of feelings and sounds, collected under the title misery radio because I wanted to make a joke that was actually serious and that nobody would get.
Most of these songs have been free to download on soundcloud since the day they were made. This is the first time they have been publicly ordered.

The reason I love this record, is that despite being over 60, I am forced to dance about to it - non stop and grin at the lyrics. It is no longer possible for me to negotiate airports and traveling without having dry cleaning blaring into my soul - I could not deal with mankind without the driving rhythm, the poignant early 80’s guitar, and the laconic musings of this wonderful band.
